Kazoomis is a small group of experienced, dedicated and passionate developers.
We create sites that bring people together, are fun to work on, and leverage the latest tech, standards and best practices in our industry.
The name Kazoomis was short for Kalamazoo Michigan Internet Services. The intent was to open a full-service IT consulting firm there, but we never actually made it to Kalamazoo. A good friend had already created us a logo and the name is great so we kept it. Here we are, 17 years later!
Open source code from Kazoomis has appeared in several programming books and is used widely around the world in other products and sites.
Kazoomis founder Jeff Guillaume, in 2002, created the Harry Potter Automatic News Aggregator, or HPANA. It quickly grew into one of the top Harry Potter fan sites and communities in the world, over the course of nearly 10 years.
Now celebrating its 15th anniversary, a modernized and fully rewritten HPANA is being rolled out, to cover all of J.K. Rowling's creations and associated works. These include Harry Potter (naturally), Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal theme parks, and her newer non-fantasy novels.
